I was never really the competitive type but when it comes to things I like doing, I start to become one! Last Friday, Nivea invited me, my sister and 4 other bloggers to an express raid wherein we were given the budget to shop and accumulate 24,000 pesos worth of items at Forever 21 in the span of 60 seconds. Yup, 1 minute!!! Pressure right??? Plus the winner gets to take home everything she has in her bag so more pressure! I LOVE shopping so game face ON! haha
Because I was super feeling competitive for this challenge, I really made sure that I knew what I was doing. To ready myself and since we weren't allowed to look at the prices, I just made another strategy. I recently just bought a pair of shoes from Forever 21 and it was priced at 1,700 pesos and I just calculated how many pairs I can get of it without going overboard the budget. With my calculations, I can get 13 pairs of shoes and I just crossed my fingers and hoped that everything I would be grabbing would be 1,700. Thankfully all 13 pairs I got were 1,700! haha! So look at me first in action!
Yup, game face!! haha Then after getting those 13 pairs. We were given a shopping challenge before the raid started and it was that we were to shop for one item to wear to an event. SO to complete the challenge, I needed atleast a dress that's less than 2000 pesos and to get the closest to the budget, I should grab 4 of anything below 100 pesos on the way to the counter. Guys before I proceed, can I just say that I grabbed 13 pairs of shoes in a span of 30 seconds. I swear, my future husband should get scared of me when I shop! hahaha So anyway, after 30 seconds, I ran to the shiny dress I saw on the way to the shoe section, grabbed it then right when the host started couting 10... 9..., I ran to the counter and got myself 4 eco bags. I got to see the price and saw that they were just 90 pesos.
We were given a few minutes to fix our items, I fixed them and calculated it and I saw that I got a total of 23,995!!!!!! AHH! I can seriously join more raids!!!! haha BUT God works in a weird way and here's what happened....

then the girl said that the dress that I got was on sale and that from 1,535, it's now 300 something pesos.. I swear, that was my face after she said it. HAHA! Seriously, I wanted to faint cause of all the things that could go wrong, it had to be that!!! I just kept quiet the whole time cause I couldn't believe that the sequined dress that I got (I just grabbed that cause being a frequent shopper of Forever 21, I assumed that anything sequined would be atleast 1300) was on sale :(
So there ladies, gentlemen and everyone in between, I did not win the raid because of that dress on sale. But nonetheless, if there's one thing I know I'm proud about me its that I'm a very good sport! haha So I'm happy that Jackie Go won! She got a total of 23,065 and I know that she deserves all the clothes and shoes that she got because she just gave birth to a handsome baby boy a few weeks ago (that and because I've always been a fan of her blog!)! :) Imagine all the hardwork she had to go through! So the splurge was well deserved :)
Atleast now I know that I can join shopping olympics if there were any! HAHA Nivea will be hosting more of these raids which YOU can join!! :) More details to follow once I know about them! :)
