I don't know what you can call this way of dressing up I have evolved into. I don't know if you've noticed it but local fashion bloggers have evolved into wearing more expensive brands like Mango, Zara, Topshop, Warehouse, etc and bags and shoes from actual high end designers as compared to the ones before where we dress up head to toe online shops. And I guess that's the price you pay (other than the LITERAL price you do) when you start buying from brands like those. Your style tends to evolve into either that of London's or whoever's the inspiration of the brand you buy into. Is it good? I guess it's half yes and half no.
Half yes because even if these shops are available in almost every mall everyone go to, there's that uniqueness since not everyone prefers to buy from them. Half no because general readers cannot relate to those brands since alot of readers actually like the convenience of just clicking through facebook and multiply, pay through credit cards and tadah its there! Unlike when you actually have to go through the hassle of going an actual store. You? Any thoughts? What do you prefer? :)

DeleteThank you for commenting! :)
DeleteThere was a time when I definitely preferred online shopping. Back in college, it would be easier to get things online because most of my time was spent in school or had plans with people. But now I find myself leaning more towards purchasing from actual stores again :) I think it's because I realized how much more specific I am now with how I want clothes to fit me. Sometimes I want them loose, sometimes fitted, etc. But I still like the convenience of shopping online of course :)

I agree!!! :) :) But ofcourse, nothing beats that!:)
DeleteYes to SMEs! I think it's good when bloggers wear local, it introduces the Philippine clothing industry to your readers (which come from all over the world!) :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Aira! :)

Aw you're so sweet Ainsley! :)
Deletei do both...thing is fashion here in our country is dictated and we always follow trends from all over thr globe...we dnt have our own....i also noticed fashion bloggers tend to do the same style as international ones and they even copy each other. no real innovators of fashion...even with great minds and sense of style if we dnt push forward we wont be noticed much like our korean and japanese couterparts that have already made their fashion recogition in the global world
ReplyDeleteI prefer shopping in actual stores. It's because you can literally fit and see the details of the dress. Yes, it's a bit expensive but I think it's worth it. From the quality, the brand name, the trend=all in na! unlike online shopping, photos aren't really reliable. tska some online shops are just glorified divisoria finds tapos quite pricey pa. diba?
ReplyDeleteTrue that's true Paula! :) But ofcourse, there are perks of online shopping as well!! :)
Deletei like the tweed

Thank you Karen! :)
DeleteMango, Zara, Topshop, Warehouse - they are all fast fashion brands! Copying runway trends and selling them at cheaper prices - quality is not as good as well!
ReplyDeleteLearn to invest in pieces that will last you long.

Yes but there are still people who can afford just that especially when buying trendy pieces! :) I dont think I would spend 30,000 pesos for a Chanel tweed jacket or a Balmain one just like the one above :)
DeleteI prefer going to shops personally. Yes, online shopping is just a click away but I find it more of a hassle... especially if the pieces don't perfectly fit your body shape and the shop delays the shipping of your items.

Hi Gem! :)
DeleteThere are perks to both! But I agree with you :) Not all the time though! :)
Yes, online shopping do gives us less hassle but I prefer shopping online if it's about bags, accessories like arm candies and stuff, sunnies, bags; those kind of things. But when it comes to clothes, I prefer doing it in malls or tiangge. Because we really have to get the right fit and feel for our clothes eh. So, half yes half no din ako dito sa post mo. :)
