One thing I will miss about DLSU bringing back the 4 school day a week schedule is the break DLSU students have in the middle. Wednesdays are usually spent doing errands or bonding with my family or catching up with friends.

Today was all about my grandparents. My siblings and I went to Tagaytay for some lolo/lola-apos bonding time and its something that I will look forward to in the next few weeks! :) Anyway, I knew that it was gonna be chill so I wore flats but I was in the mood to dress up!

Its gonna start at 4 pm and hopefully you guys can come and hang with me and my sister! :) I still have no idea what we'll be doing BUUUUT! I'm sure Soul Lifestyle has something BIG instore for all of you! :) We'll also be in Davao to shoot something BIG (literally)! I hope to see you guys! :)

Ball Angels

Sunday Comfort

We had to dress extra comfy today because my family and I wanted to explore Trinoma (I had to do pull outs too!). We've been south people all our lives so a place like that is somewhere we dont go often. It feels like its on the other side of the world! HAHA! Flowers For Mommy

Another color blocking outfit to spice up school essentials :) Personally, I have 5 items that I believe every college girl needs in her closet:

1. A colored blazer - it will always make a boring outfit fun!

2. A bandage skirt - for the days wherein it's too hot to wear pants! (be sure to follow the dress code!)

3. Cute flats - flats need not to be boring :)

4. Accessories - lots and lots of accessories! Its weird to wear heels and full make up to school everyday... so to still looked dressed yet look appropriate for school, wear eye catching accessories! :)

5. concealer and oil absorbing powder - learn how to use concealer to cover those dark under eyes and powder to prevent looking oily when its too hot!

All Aboard The Sperry Yacht!

I was invited to a Sperry Top Siders event last week and so far, it has been the most unique event I've been to! :) It was held at One Esplanade and what makes it unique? The Sperry team took us on a yacht"cruise" :) haha It was my first time to so that was pretty exciting! Here's what happened:

Aidx Paredes x Vern & Verniece

Two weeks ago, my sister and I met up with a rising photographer from Davao, Aidx when he was here in Manila for a workshop. Its very common now to meet up with fellow bloggers/photographers to shoot and collaborate even if you have never met in person beforehand. It's weird yes but its interesting because you get to meet different kinds of talented people. And one of them is Aidx. He's only 17 and yet, he already has this way of taking pictures and you know its "Aidx". I love that about him. Nowadays, its hard to stand out since anyone and everyone has access to good cameras, photoshop and the internet. But Aidx is one of the very unique few who has managed to be different. Keep up the good work Aidx and see you a few weeks in Davao! :)

SCHOOL DIARIES: Indie Cool

Who ever thought I'd be seen wearing a back pack PLUS these kinds of boots?? HAHA! But its nice to try new things once in a while :) Its not my style but I actually felt comfy the whole day! The outfit's perfect for school :)

Don't hate on me and say this outfit is not "indie cool" enough since the title is really meant for that backpack up there: HERSCHEL SUPPLY CO. Its a famous backpack brand known around the world and it just recently landed on our shores! The brand draws inspiration from vintage mountaineering, American heritage, world travel and fashion. I met with the people behind the local distribution of the brand last week and the impression I got from the bag as the brand manager was talking about it? INDIE. It's the perfect word for the brand.

I thought I was gonna have a heart attack when my lens weren't working properly earlier while taking these shots. I just bought them last December and no way I'm gonna have them replaced them just after 2 months of usage. So please excuse the semi-blurry photos. Stripes and Polka Dots

I've always wanted to see how stripes and polka dots look together and so far so good! I guess the trick is to make it all put together by using solid colors as accents :) Anyway, I wore this to the Sperry Top Siders event that was held at a yacht!! How cool is that?? HAHA! 7 Days With Marc by Marc Jacobs

If only this post really was about LITERALLY spending 7 days with Marc Jacobs. It's not... BUT this is only how close an 18 year old girl like me who lives all the way in the Philippines can get to him. I was browsing through FARFETCH.COM and came across these beautiful Marc Jacobs dresses. I chose 7 dresses out of the ones available on the site and made one for each day.

Okay, so picture me with a flat in Manhattan, working for a high-end fashion brand and living my dreams. So that's the scenario! haha Join me as I daydream the life I want and see how I'll be styling each dress according to my "plans" for the week! :P

SUNDAY: It's a beautiful Sunday with the perfect weather for a picnic. I'm going to wear this Marc Jacobs dress to a very chill picnic with my flatmates in Central Park.

MONDAY: Monday blues and I'm not in the mood to be up so early for work. Wearing something in nude to welcome the week ahead of me. With a full day of meetings, this Marc Jacobs dress plus the pumps is office-appropriate but still very chic.

TUESDAY: I'm attending an afternoon Louis Vuitton event with a garden party theme. They're launching their S/S 2012 collection. The Marc Jacobs dress will fit the afternoon event!

WEDNESDAY: Ofcourse, D is in the picture too! We meet up for a dinner date in the middle of the week to unwind and take a break from work (his work! I wouldn't need to since mine would really fun! haha) The Marc Jacobs dress is perfect for this since it's too dressy :)

THURSDAY: The Marc Jacobs dress is still very office appropriate but I'll be skipping my lunch to do a little shopping on the side during my break. The dress along with the flats will feel very comfy and easy to move around in :)

FRIDAY: It's the weekend! You need an outfit that will last you from day to night. This Marc Jacobs dress is perfect for that! :)

SATURDAY: Since I'm working for a high-end fashion brand in Manhattan, I'm sure the work does not stop on Friday! I'll be attending meetings and more events in this outfit :) Don't you love this Marc Jacobs dress? It's appropriate for the office but it's stylish enough to wear for events too!

Wow.... imagine that life???? HAHA! I'll reach that, I swear. For now, I'll stick to blogging and see if my blog will take me there. And lust over these MARC JACOB DRESSES! I'll have these all, just wait and see :)

Never Be Afraid Of Color

Personally, as much as I love accessories, I hate excessorizing. I like looking clean and polished and with that personal style I try to always stick to, excessorizing doesn't make the cut. It works wonders on other women, but it doesn't with me.

However even if I don't excessorize, I over colorized. Recently, I've been mixing colors and trying them out seeing how it looks together. Some works, some dont. I've always believed and I always say this at the end of my talks, fashion is something not to be taken seriously. If you fail today, you can always try again tomorrow. Never be afraid of color :) That I'm sure does wonders to everyone. If you're in your teens or early 20s, bright colors like the one in my outfit below works. Alittle bit over that, maybe something more earthy :) Tell me what you think about the mix of colors below!

SCHOOL DIARIES: Mixing Prints

It's tiring to bring an SLR around so I just brought my G12 to school so I can finally take outfit pictures in my "secret" spot in school! haha It's been awhile since I don't have anyone to take them anymore on a daily basis so I'm glad that D visited!

I don't usually mix prints like this but I've been so bored with my outfits lately! What do you think about these two prints together? :)

I finally have nude flats once again! I don't know why but I favor Fancy Flats' and when mine gave up on me and that design was out of stock, I never bought from any other brand till Fancy Flats made one again. Naga Adventure Day 2

Here's day 2 of my Naga trip! Despite the very busy "late" night everyone had, we all had to be up at 6.30 in the morning to get to Ateneo De Naga on time for our talks. The very nice students assigned to each and everyone of us were there to wake us up and remind us of our schedule even if they haven't gotten sleep. Such nice people, I swear :) Sobrang maalaga! Anyway, just like always, will tell you about how it went through pictures and captions :)

While I was there, I asked everyone about this "acting president" of ADNU's student council who's family name is Enciso as well! I wanted to meet ~~him~~ her badly since my parents told me that almost every Enciso from Bicol is a relative :)

I visited the trade fair too since all the other speakers took long and I got bored! haha I had my first ever Moonleaf in Naga :)

Naga Adventure: Day 1

I was really excited to get home today since I badly wanted to blog about my Naga adventure! So here's a photo diary of how my first day there went :) I flew in with my lola's maid since she was from there. I was honestly scared at first since I didn't know what to expect! haha Bicol (even if I'm from there) is a very new place for me. Nadine who invited me didn't give me any itinerary for my two day stay but I'm glad she didn't cause everything was a surprise, in a really really great way :) I shall tell you more about through pictures and captions.

Thank God for a safe flight! The plane was really small and I felt every single thing it was doing! haha I was praying all the way, I swear! haha

hello, hotel room!

All the speakers were booked at CBD Plaza hotel! I was SO hungry already that Bobby (another speaker) and I were waiting right outside the hotel for people from Ateneo De Naga to feed us! HAHA!

Bobby and I couldn't take it so we crossed the street and went to the Bus Terminal and bought ourselves doughnuts! lol Bobby btw is a friend of my sister but its weird how we only met and started talking all the way in Naga! haha He gave a talk about DJ-ing :)

Finally, the lovely people arrived and they brought us here at first! It full though sooo we walked to

BIGGS! I was so curious about this place since alot of people tweeted back to me saying I should try this restaurant! and you guys were right! I love the Cajun chicken of biggs plus their laing!!! haha

Who Knew?

Who knew I'd be giving talks about blogging? Who knew I'd be giving talks about blogging in NAGA? Haha! I never imagined it or even dreamed it! I'm back home now and it still really hasn't sunk in yet that I was sent allll the way to Bicol just for something I do for fun :) I had the best time ever and I could definitely say now that it's more fun in Naga!!!!! :)

If you don't know why I'm blabbing about Naga, I was invited by Ateneo De Naga to be a part of their ACP and give a talk on blogging. I had two sets, one in the morning and one in the afternoon :) I'll give you more details on what happened today and yesterday in a separate blogpost! For now, I'll share with you what I wore today :) I don't know why I brought mostly yellows, but I guess I wanted something bright to match my very happy mood! haha

Packing For Naga

I'm currently packing for my short trip to Naga and I thought of sharing with you how I pack whenever I travel for domestic flights. I'm staying in Naga for two days to give a talk about blogging in Ateneo De Naga University! It's going to be on Wednesday, I'm not sure about the time yet so I'll get back to you guys on that :) Anyway, here are the pictures!

My luggage is from Roxy Philippines :) I love it so much cause it's light to begin with so the weight will really just be the content! Perfect for girls like me who overpack! haha

I take care of my accessories so I put all of them in individual ziplocks and inside a box. This makes it so much easier for because the necklaces won't get buhol buhol lol!

I like putting my shoes in individual plastics!

Here's my kikay kit for travelling! It consists of my perfume, St. Ives face wash, Human Nature insect repellant, PH Care feminine wash, my deodorant, Nivea Sun Whitening Lotion, Zoya matte nail polish and Revlon Age Defying Foundation.

I didn't take pictures of the clothes so they'll be a surprise when I blog about them! haha

Manila Zoo

Like what I said in my last post, D and I went to Manila Zoo last Friday and here's how it went. I've heard alot complaints and negative feedback about the zoo but I never thought that it was that bad till I saw it for myself. Everything was dirty, smelly, and the animals looked depressed and sad. Its bad enough that animals are in cages but REALLY dirty cages made it alot worse. You can see wrappers everywhere! Alot of cages are empty because animals have been dying and all of them need MAJOR renovations. The trip to the zoo drained the life out of me that day :( haha

this animal's cage was right beside the bathroom :( You can see mops, brooms and pails inside :(

seeing this elephant made me feel the worst :( his cage was dirty, wrecked and he was alone :( I know that animals can't be alone because they get depressed :(

the zoo's sheep are not even white!! haha

the closest thing I got to a giraffe that day! lol

I don't think the zoo's not only badly managed but it's also because of us Filipinos who lack the discipline to maintain and take care of the zoo when we go. It's not the management who throw wrappers inside cages and vandalize the place. Not only should we try to complain about the zoo management but improve ourselves as well. We complain when we don't have places like these to go to but we take advantage of them when provided to us.

That place should serve as an eye opener to the government and to us Filipinos :(

Ribbon Overload

Last Friday, I had to be in school from 9-9 pm because of a midterm exam and the university week celebration in which I'm part of one of the segments :) My midterm exam ended so early and Dondi and I got bored in school waiting for rehearsals so we decided to go to Manila Zoo! :) We've been wanting to go there for quite some time now but we were so disappointed. Food Coma On Love Day

If there's one thing to spoil me with, it's food. I think the best way to my heart is not only a good sense of humor but a boy who will accept and support my very big appetite. Believe it or not, I like eating.. ALOT! I love trying new restaurants and when I love the feel of the place, I just want to try every single thing on the menu! However, just like any other girl, I regret all the food intake and worry about looking at the mirror and seeing how my after eating self looks like! haha

Anyway, here's the place Dondi took me for Valentine's Day. We both love Japanese food and this comes third to my personal list of favorites. First will be Sugi then Nihon Bashitei(is that how you spell it? haha) then this! :)

we had dessert in this place near Kenji right after. This chocolate creme brulee was good!

I don't know how Dondi and I finished all that, I swear! haha But try it out for yourself :)

Well, I found this dress in my closet and its been there for quite awhile. I bought it in H&M in Singapore and that was moonnths ago so might as well take it on a spin! I love how dressy it made me feel with the velvet material and the skirt so Valentine's day with my favorite boy in the world was the perfect time to wear it :) I wanted my only accent to be the shoes so I wore all black and I was too lazy to change my bag from last Sunday :P

Here's what happened at the Lucy Hale Loves Bench press conference that happened at SMX last Saturday! I already saw Lucy (close na kami hahaha) at the Bench event I went to two days before that but I just had to go to this one as well! She was nice and down to earth as she was the first time I saw her so it came as no surprise to why Bench got her as their newest endorser! :) It was nice to see my blogger friends like always :)

I brought my sister like always :)

Part of the press conference was Q&A between 10 chosen people from the press and Lucy Hale! She's very accommodating! :)

Spring

I brought my sister with me to the Faceshop event that happened in their Shang-rila branch. My sister and I were late so we only got to reach the second part of the talk but it was very helpful anyway :) We learned about the new Spring make up collection of the store and how to apply it correctly :) Faceshop's from Korea and I love how everything looks clean and simple, just how I like my make up to be :)

After the talk, we all got to try the new collection with matching hair make overs! Here's what happened in pictures:

I love the bb cream! Its light and its not too fragrant. The highlighter and blushes as well! :)

The Graduate

Yesterday was one of the busiest and tiring days for me ever. Class from 8-4, Dondi's graduation, a family reunion and a graduation party! I hated the fact that I had to wake up at 6 to get ready for my 8 am recollection since I knew I had a long day ahead of me. BUT staying up late despite the few hours of sleep to celebrate for my favorite boy in the world's graduation was all worth it :) Here's a photo diary of how my Saturday went :)

Food For The Hair

I have really thick and long hair so I finish a bottle of shampoo and conditioner in about a month and because of this, I save my Bed Head Urban Anti Dotes line for special days due to its price. I don't think I can afford to buy it every month (but If I was more liquid, I will since it's really worth it!) haha

Thank God, I found out about Lory's. I first got the hair cream from one of the gift bags given to us during the second Bloggers United bazaar and I've been hooked on it ever since! I finished my first Lory's in about a month and half and got a package from Anisha of Lory's a week after. It was only then that I found out that Lory's comes in different flavors! Some of them are food flavors hence the title :) They have fruit cocktail, chocolate, shea butter, snake oil, ceramidas and my favorite, nutri Sun gloss!

I like it because for one its affordable - 185 for 450g and 349.75 for 1000grams (1kg) and second it leaves my hair manageable the whole day! :) It can be used as a conditioner and a hot oil treatment. It's available in Watsons, SM, Shopwise, Rustans supermarket, PCX , First Aid, Landmark, and other major department stores and supermarkets nationwide :)

PROJECT ROXY

I recently had a meeting with Roxy Philippines and they discussed with me the collaboration they would want to do with a couple fashion bloggers. I didn't expect the project to be so big since the email only said that we'll be designing the store window of the newest (& first in the country!) store of Roxy in Robinson's Ermita. I expected to be just styling a mannequin but wow, I'll be a styling the whole freaking window complete with the background, theme, etc HAHA! I was so excited, I swear!! :) And no restrictions or whatsoever, we just had to be ourselves!

I immediately wanted to do a closet since I think that's very "me" and an inner voice inside me was still screaming for a walk in closet since I still don't have one. God's too nice to me that he's actually giving me the opportunity to design one for a store! :) So anyway, since it was Roxy, I wanted to do something beachy but still very me and I thought, why not a closet inside a beach house? haha! Silly, I know but these pegs don't give justice to all the ideas in my head! This is just one part of the window since I have yet to make pegs and all for the second part :) Read on and tell me what you think.

Meet Caloy

Remember my blog post about Coke Philippines appointing the newest President for Happiness? Well last Sunday, they revealed who this president is and his name is..... CALOY! I heard that he's really nervous about this big task given to him yet I'm sure he's excited. I mean who wouldn't be right?? :) Imagine, all you have to do is make Filipinos happy! How cool is that? I wish I were the one appointed though... If so, I'll make clones of Zac Efron and give him to any girl who wants, give free shoes, give free educational plans to all street children and well, we both have one thing we want to do in mind and that is to make it rain coke from a Helicopter. I don't know how's that possible but I'm sure President Caloy can do that! Let’s see how he'll make that possible ;) or a better idea yet, why don’t we all contact him and give him suggestions on how to bring happiness to us.

SCHOOL DIARIES: Love Month

The hearts on this kimono cover up's the perfect outfit to welcome the month of loooooveee :) haha I've had this for over a year now and for some reason I wanted to "save it" for a special occasion. Do you have those "saved" pieces? :) I'm sure I'm not the only one doing this! haha

Anyway, I started the day with a meeting with a veerryy gorgeous marketing lady, Arianne! She's behind well, the marketing and public relations of the first ever "online department store" in the country, Zalora! :) I swear, meeting her was like meeting my future self! HAHA But I really can't wait for the day and the go signal to when I can actually talk about this site with all the complete details :) It's not out yet but it will be soon! Watch out for it, yes? :)

My nail polish is from the Revlon Top Speed line. I love how I don't have to have about 10 minutes or so for my nailpolish to dry up! Perfect for girls like me who's always in a hurry in the morning :) haha

When you see black and white stripes, you always expect a solid bright color paired with it. Atleast, that's what I do. haha So I dressed to the cliche, something thats a "no-no" to blogging since you always have to be fresh and unique but I just HAD to try this. Imagine a president who's only task is to spread happiness to all Filipinos. Why not right? Well, Coke Philippines is appointing one! This coming Sunday, Coke will be revealing who the appointed President for Happiness of Coca-Cola is! If you ask me who, I don't know either (I'm hoping it's John Llyod Cruz just cause he makes me happy. LOL) but kidding aside, I do have expectations to who this president will be.

I want someone who will spread happiness BUT spread happiness in a very realistic way. I want him or her to stress that life is not being happy 24/7 but that even if we encounter hardships and bumps along the way, we should always see the positive side of it. What are you expectations?

If you read my previous blog post, you'll know that I spent more than half of yesterday preparing for the Coke 100 years celebration. I attended the fitting&rehearsal and knowing that you'll be waiting for most of the time at these things, I wanted to wear something comfy! A sheer polo and shorts will always do the trick for me :) I just dressed it up a bit with a loud necklace and a pair of stand out heels :)

Hello School Girl

My thursday night was filled with events and I'm glad that my sister's always so game to accompany me to them! The first event I went to was the book launch and signing of 2 books from Summit and thank God I went cause I'm such a fan of Marla Miniao's works. Table For Two's one my favorites :) Since it was gonna be at a bookstore, I wanted to dress the part!

SCHOOL DIARIES: Up Up Up

I first laid eyes on these pair of shoes at the shoot I had for So Fab last week and I couldn't stop talking about it! haha The more when I found out that they were only for 499 :) I decided to wear it to school today since it gives "ommph" to any plain outfit just like this one! :)

I got this as a Christmas gift from Cathleen and the people behind Call It Spring! :) Its perfect for school :)

It's always much appreciated when brands would make the extra effort to make the packages they send me personalized and this by far, is the sweetest package I've gotten to date. I've never really personally met the lovely girls behind the brand SOUL LIFESTYLE but it was so heartwarming when I read the letter that went with the beautiful clothes :) The first time you've seen the brand was probably at Cheyser's blog but if you've never heard of it, visit the brand's facebook page and want all the pieces! :) A collaboration between Soul Lifestyle and my blog, A Shoe Tale is in the works so please do watch out for that! :) I hope you're as excited as I am.

Let This Be Our Little Secret

My current LSS for the day? Little Secrets by Passion Pit! its an old song but it's a song that deserves a spot on your itunes. It's one of my no fail good mood songs :) Anyway, if I remember correctly I read in the current issue of MEGA magazine I was reading on the way to Cebu last Sunday that this kind of shorts are "very 2012" (that sounded so ditzy haha) and I wanted to try the trend to see if it works for me.

Personally, I think that these shorts are only flattering in yummy shades like this blue, pink, red, yellow or orange and in a flowy kind of material. What do you think? Nay or yay? :) Be sure to wear heels with it though! Wedges to be exact! :)

Alcatel Press Launch

A few weeks back, I was invited to the Fashion meets Tech Alcatel press launch that happened at Relik Tapas Bar. They were launching their two new phones and the unveiling of the their newest ambassador.

It's nice to know that a company like Alcatel gives everyone the opportunity to own a gorgeous looking phone with equally awesome features and a touch screen phone at a very reasonable price. If I'm not mistaken both phones are under 8 thousand pesos :)

Their newest ambassador is none other than, Chris Tiu! I used to think that this boy was too perfect, well I still do but I thought about it, it's gonna hard to be with someone perfect.. like I had a chance in the first place!! hahaha Anyway, I think Chris Tiu is the perfect ambassador for the brand. He represents what an Alcatel phone is, great in many different ways but still not too far to reach :)

Not much pictures because the event was just quick but it's the first one for the year! Can't wait for the next ones :)
